what two better ways to start off the summer?
we finished our finals and got right on the road. anxious and ready to relax and rest our burnt out brains. we met my fam in vegas and drove down with them to LA on saturday morning. it only took three cars full to fit us all, we were like a line of pack mules but we had the best time. we got to see where pat grew up in beverly hills, and ate at his fav sandwich shop he went to as a youngin. it was so so so good. if you are in LA and hungry... go to philippe's. you won't regret it. turkey sandwich and lemonade. yum.
after lunch we headed to dodgers stadium. stood in the heat and tried not to eat our ball park snacks. which we did. and then spent too much on dodger dogs and pretzels. obviously this was the beginning of our really healthy vacation. what's a vacation without sour patch kids anyway.....
how cute are they.
we went to the perfect game. of course we had to be a bryce harpers debut in the MLB and see matt kemp hit a walk off homerun to win the game in the 11th inning. we were screaming and jumping and just about crying almost. it was beautiful. and the perfect start to our vacay.
on sunday morning, the fam dropped us off in long beach and it was smooth sailing for a whole week after that. we decided to go on a cruise as an early anniversary/semester ending/summer beginning present. we had soooo much fun it was so hard to come home. we did a whole lot of laying out and relaxing and loving the sweetest dang week together.
creepiest ever.
a shout out to houston in cabo!
lovers beach!
chocolate melting cake.... yummmm.
i don't know how to turn this guy around but how cute is he.
maybe ice cream cones 3 times a day? i don't know....
i came into the room and m was about asleep like this on the bed. i about died.
cabo san lucas & puerta vallarta & two loves & one huge ship.
there was so much to do and an incredible amount of drunk people and people trying to sell us whistles and rides on their 4x4 glass bottom boat but it was the best way to start our summer. we played lots of mini golf, went to the shows and comedy nights, watched movies out on the deck, and soaked the sun up on our base tan bodies we worked so hard for before we left. it was just dang lovely. m took advantage of the 24 hour pizza 4 times a day, and we had no choice but to enjoy many swirled cones during our stay..... and the chocolate melting cake was to die for. and it was just freakin fun. and we'd like to go back next week. or tomorrow.
monday was the hardest day after only sleeping a few hours and getting up to endure another week of work (and school for this girl...).
now we are counting down the days until carlsbad of course ;)
just loving summertime already.
